Dr. Gan is an ENT consultant with special interests on facial plastic surgery and allergy. He also serves as a visiting specialist at Hospital Abdul Aziz Shah, Universiti Putra Malaysia, where he manages complex facial plastic surgery cases. He has completed three fellowships, including a scholarship from the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) at the University of Amsterdam, as well as advanced facial plastic surgery training in Seoul, South Korea, and Germany. Dr. Gan was awarded a Certificate of Excellence in the EAACI examination and is among the pioneers in the country in treating chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) using biologic therapies. He has extensive experience in managing allergic rhinitis through allergen immunotherapy. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Gan is actively involved in research and teaching, collaborating with pharmaceutical companies and university. He was elected to the board of the EAACI IG Allergen Immunotherapy 2022–2024 and serves as an author with Cochrane (UK), reflecting his international engagement. He has also obtained certification from the Harvard School of Public Health in the Role of Real-World Evidence in Medicine, further strengthening his evidence-based clinical practice.
